I spend my day with three over active kids, known as the enemy in the battle for my sanity. My five years old from the time she wakes up all she does is talk, so I am nothing but overjoyed to send her off to school her techniques get to me and she knows this. One down and two to deal with. My youngest wakes up like clockwork with her big sister. All she does is cry for five minutes while I repeat a thousand times that she does not have to be awake. When she is done I feed her and attempt to have peace but it never happens.
My war to have peace has just began. The first two attempts by the enemy have been calculated but I have won the first fight. Although the enemy has denied me sleep every night this week as a torture device my mind is in full tact and prepared for defense. I think it is. So as the house seems calm I lay my head for a little rest only to get ambushed by two rug rats giggling and jumping on my bed. My quiet is gone.
I sit awake and keep the enemy busy to try to weaken them so they fall asleep at their post, but their game is always up. One pointing and spilling everything in sight, and the other tapping me, calling me non-stop its them are me. Finally after the third one returns and the battle heads outdoors, running and fresh air further my goals. After homework with the oldest, a snack and a drink leads my plan into motion. Nap time. I have conquered the enemy and obtained peace, but not for long...........
