Why do the networks bring all the shows back in the new year

AS if this time of year is not stressful enough even for those who do not celebrate holidays we have to lose our favorite television shows. Who on earth wants to see a 1922 version of Rudolph and no one needs to see its a wonderful life because everyone knows how it ends. Heck I have never seen it but I know that George is the main character who loves his life by the end. To me there is nothing wonderful about how much food goes up or how crowded everyday shopping is. For goodness sakes three people have died on black Friday alone. Sometimes the only comfort we get is at home which now becomes sucky because no wife can talk to her hubby too much sports on and the kids watch 24 hour cartoon fest of Phineas and Ferb, which you love but you have managed to see every episode a thousand times so please send us something to watch but to wits end it is all gone. This month off all months is a time of stress and adding boredom to it really makes tempers flare. I for one know that if you can keep family busy than it can be a much pleasant visit. And who on earth wants to play win lose or draw, charades, and the number one fight breaker spades. No one would have to hit the liquor if they could catch up on more than just the family reunion in Florida that happened 8 years ago, so please give us our shows back. Life is not television but television is a big part of life and seeing another person's life go to pieces makes us happy.
